THERMAL INSULATION INSULATION OF THE SUBSTRATES

Floor subfloors almost always require thermal and acoustic insulation. When the floor is bordering the outside or with unheated rooms (cellars or garages) the substrate certainly needs to be thermally insulated, according to the regulations in force. We offer some insulation solutions with grained cork:

THERMAL INSULATION WITH FLOORING BEARING THERMAL SCREED

- With directly pavable thermal screed for optimal use of the space below. Our Bioart- Thermal cork and lime screed is used.

BACKGROUND THERMAL INSULATION WITH CORK AND SILICATE CALCIUM

- With cork and sodium silicate for a light and highly insulating substrate. 3 / 8mm cork grains and sodium silicate are mixed in 90 kg per cubic meter of ground cork. if well compacted, the substrate can be completed with a higher structure or screed to obtain a normal walkable floor.

THERMAL INSULATION FILLING WITH BLOND CORK GRANULATE

- With loose granular cork when there are already structured cavities to be filled: maximum lightness and insulating power.

    SUBERGLASS - WALKABLE THERMAL SUBSTRATE

To obtain a light and compact insulating screed (even on uneven surfaces where it would be impossible to lay rigid panels) mix Suberglass made of granular cork and natural sodium silicate in the following proportions:

    1. Suberglass 70: at 1 cubic meter of Ri-cork 3-14mm add 70kg of sodium silicate (8 bags of cork with 2 tanks of sodium silicate)
    2. Suberglass 90: at 1 cubic meter of Ri-cork 3-8mm add 90 / 100kg of sodium silicate (3 silicate tanks with 9 bags of cork)

    WITH DISSOLVED GRANULAR CORK

To insulate structured substrates with compartments, simply fill the spaces with 3-14mm Ri-cork, or 3-8mm Ri-cork.

The floor can be closed in a targeted way: directly with a floor to be nailed to the structure or with preliminary panels to prepare the flooring.
