BIOART MEDIUM WALL PLASTER - 25 kg sack
Smoothing plaster in natural hydraulic lime for finishing traditional internal and external plasters
BIOART MEDIUM WALL PLASTER
Bioart-medium wall plaster is a smoothing mortar for internal / external walls based on natural hydraulic lime NHL2 with a final civilian appearance to be spread on lime-based plasters.
Bioart-medium wall plaster is a mineral coating based on natural hydraulic lime NHL 2, designed for the protection, conservative recovery of civil plasters and natural dehumidifying systems. Specific tonachino with high permeability to the diffusion of water vapor, plaster leveling to obtain surface finishes of natural plasters with sponged civil appearance with medium grain size.
Smoothing walls which, due to its natural properties and coloring, is particularly suitable for interventions on buildings of historical and artistic interest or for environmentally friendly green building interventions.
Bioart-medium wall plaster is a premixed mineral coating based on natural hydraulic lime from Wassellonne NHL 2, appropriately selected and dosed limestone aggregates and specific additives that improve its workability, breathability and adhesion to lime plaster.
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT
Bioart-medium wall plaster can be applied on any traditional mineral substrate and surface: traditional lime plasters, premixed plasters based on natural hydraulic lime, cement-lime mortars, renovation plasters, traditional, stable, consistent and non-chalking substrates.
The substrates to be treated must be homogeneous, stable, clean, consistent, free of weak parts, dust, bacterial proliferations, saline efflorescence, oils, fats, residues from previous processes, etc. If necessary, carry out a preventive cleaning of the substrate with pressure washer or sandblasting.
Before applying Bioart-medium wall plaster, make sure that the surfaces are regularly absorbent, coplanar, solid and seasoned and are not subject to movement and shrinkage. With high temperature applications it is essential to moisten the substrates with water. In any case, it is necessary to evaluate the absorption of the substrate and possibly regulate it with water or a suitable primer.
INSTALLATION OF PLASTER
Mix a 25 kg bag of Bioart-medium wall plaster with about 6.5-7 liters of clean water using an electric mixer until a homogeneous and lump-free mixture is obtained. Leave the dough to rest for about 2-3 minutes and mix again before applying. The mixed skim coat can be used for about 2 hours. Do not add water and re-stir the mixture to reuse the plaster over this term.
TO OBTAIN A SPONGE FINISH
Apply the smoothing compound with a large American spatula with horizontal and vertical steps until the desired coplanarity is obtained. Once the coats of uniformity of the base have been made, the final pass must be made with a minimum and constant thickness and finished by using a wet sponge float to obtain a trowelled finish with a fine finish.
TO APPLY THE PLASTER ON INHOMOGENEOUS PLASTERS
Apply a first coat of plaster with a large American trowel with horizontal and vertical passages to fully cover the surface, drowning the top and bottom 4x4 reinforcing mesh in fiberglass, prepared and certified, taking care to make overlaps between strips of at least 10 cm. At the end of the phase, carry out the final pass with a minimum and constant thickness and finished by using a wet sponge float to obtain a trowelled finish with a fine finish.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR FINISHES OF BIOART-MEDIUM SHAVING
RASANTE FOR INTERIOR WALLS
When Bioart-medium wall plaster is used as an interior smoothing compound, after the sponged finish it can be painted with breathable decorative paints, preferably with vegetable or lime-based resins.
MEDIUM WALL PLASTER FOR EXTERIOR WALLS
When the plaster is used as a smoothing compound for external walls, it is advisable to consider the possibility of applying Bioart-medium smoothing in a color chosen from those available in the color chart: colored tonachino gives a better aesthetic with a saving in decoration costs.
WARNINGS
The substrates to be treated must be homogeneous, stable, clean, free of weak parts, dust, bacterial proliferation, saline efflorescence etc. Do not use below + 8 ° C and above + 35 ° C and always moisten the supports especially on hot and windy days.
