The granulated cork can be used for thermal and acoustic insulation:
1- Fullfilling empty interspaces of the perimeter walls.
2- Attics insulation with loose granulated or mixing it with sodium silicate (natural vitrifying).
3- Attics Insulation combined with cork panels
4- Making of thermal plaster for thermal and acoustic house insulation.
5- Making of thermal insulating substrates and sound absorbers.

1- WALLS INSUFFLATION:
Make holes on the perimeter walls and blow the granular cork up to fill the interspaces. (cork's size in relation to the cavity size: 3/14 mm for 7/15cm wide - 3/8 for medium interspaces 5/10cm wide - 1/3 for small interspaces 1/5cm)
2- ATTIC INSULATION WITH LOOSE GRANULATED CORK:
lay the granular cork freely on the surface or sectors suitable for a subsequent walk-over cover (dim 3/14)
3- ATTIC INSULATION WITH SODIUM SILICATE:
mix 1 m3 of granulated cork 3/14 with 70 kg of sodium silicate, or 1 mc of granular 3/8 with 90 kg of sodium silicate.
4-FLOOR SUBSTRATES INSULATION WITH SODIUM SILICATE:
mix 1mc of granular cork 3/8 with 90kg of sodium silicate and spread the dough, pressing it with a trowel. Then cover with screed or paneling before paving the area.
5-LIGHTENING OF CONCRETE SCREED OR HYDRAULIC LIME:
mix 1mc of granular 3/14 or 3/8 (or 1mc mixture of granular cork and sand) with 200kg of cement or 350kg of NHL5 natural hydraulic lime.
