CHESTNUT CHESTNUT double frame
The "frame" slat system is useful when you want to easily make a substrate suitable for nailing the planks. The system allows the whole frame to be formed before leveling, which is carried out in a single operation using shims and wooden wedges. Thus there are two important advantages: ease of installation and a system suitable to be incorporated even in lightened screeds (where the simple slat could not be incorporated)
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE FRAME-MAGATELLO
The "frame" Chestnut wood has the following exceptional characteristics:
it is easy to install thanks to the connection of every part that allows the overall leveling of the system. Once the elements have been screwed together, the system can be easily leveled with wooden wedges (available as system accessories) and allows the solid wood plank to be nailed in a lightly-lightened screed thickness: thanks to the lower level of " ballast "the swallowtail Chestnut can also be fixed in less hard and heavy screeds than concrete screeds.
it allows the solid wood plank to be nailed in a little light screed thickness without weighing down the floor.
thanks to the modularity of the system, it favors a rapid installation with few cuts of final adaptation.
DOUBLE ORDER AND BIOART FRAME - THERMAL SCREED OF CORK AND LIME
The double framework is ideal for use with BIOART-THERMAL SCREED.
For a screed:
Healthy and breathable, composed of natural materials such as wood, cork and lime.
Light so as not to weigh down the floors unnecessarily: about 450kg per mc.
Thermal and acoustic insulation.
Which allows the traditional nailing of parquet, without glue.
LAYOUT OF MAGATELLO STANZA 4X4m
Once the laying direction of the parquet has been decided, the upper slats can be placed at a distance of 35cm from each other. The attached diagram exemplifies the provision in the standard stalls of 4x4mt. For rooms of different sizes, the last L or C slats must be cut to the required size.
ELEMENTS OF THE FRAME MAGATELLO KIT
After the arrangement of the upper and lower levels it is possible to proceed with fixing with the frame screws.
EASY ALIGNMENT OF THE MAGATELLOA FRAME
This point must be aligned to the required size, the operation can be carried out using shims and wooden wedges.
FORMATION OF LEVELING FEET
Form support feet at the nodal points, with the same mixture as the screed (in the image we used Bioart-cork thermal mass)
THE DAY AFTER REMOVING THE WOODEN WEDGES
The next day you can remove the wooden wedges and throw the screed
Trapezoidal section of the magatello: 4 cm (major base) 2.6 cm (minor base) x 2.5 cm thick.
The frame is supplied with the joints arranged to fix the upper level with the lower one.
The upper slats: element L and element C, are equipped with double milled thanks to which an unlimited surface can be covered.
The long slat (element L 148 cm) covers a double length of the short slat (element C 85 cm) the system is designed to cover the standard 4x4 mt chamber without cuts
THE PROPERTIES OF THE CHESTNUT
Chestnut is the most suitable wood to make a good background underlay:
it is a wood of medium hardness, it is very resistant to humidity and durable, it frees the tannin contained in the Chestnut which attacks the ferrous surface of the nail preventing it from being extracted: the result will be a solidly fixed floor that "does not squeak" when walked on.
